- An academic, training and clinical support organisation.
- A non-profit organisation run by practicing busy GPs with their generous volunteer time.
Our Vision
Improve patient care by:
- Providing peer support to fellow general practitioners.
- Providing general practitioners’ education & training
- Maintaining high standards of general practice.
- Promote the programs of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP) and the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine (ACRRM)
- Promoting primary care & family practice in Bangladesh
In Australia BGPAA …
- Wishes to provide educational and mentoring support to fellow GPs and GP Registrars.
- Assist trainees & examinees to better prepare for RACGP and ACRRM examination.
- Likes to create opportunities for International Medical Graduates (IMG) from Bangladesh living in Australia, better assimilate with the local health system. BGPAA discourages brain drain.
- BGPAA wishes to promote a general practice owner network to improve their quality service delivery and remain financially viable.
- To support BGPAA with their expertise.
- Be part of their relevant State or Territory based Bangladeshi medical societies.
- All BGPAA office bearers are proud members & active participants in their local State & Territory based Bangladeshi medical societies.
In Bangladesh BGPAA …
- Is in a process of providing educational support to the primary care doctors.
- Is committed to deliver these supports both by face to face and remotely.
- Has developed platform to deliver services, such as education and telemedicine.
- Establish relationship with Bangladesh College of General Practitioners (BCGP) and work together to improve primary healthcare /general practice in Bangladesh.
